“Life is what happens after we make plans”. Life has a way of bringing you to feelings of loneliness, hopelessness, or can become overwhelming and change at a rapid rate. When these difficulties occur they can lead to depression, anxiety or feeling as though you can not move forward. When these things happen it can be helpful to address them with someone who will help you to begin to move forward again. Therapy is a solution to life’s plans that were not a part of the ones you laid out for yourself. Therapy can get you back moving forward. Candace is here to get you on that track.

Candace has been in the field of mental health for over five years. She obtained her Masters in Clinical Social work from Loyola University in 2013. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois. She specializes in treating those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma related issues and couples counseling. She comes from a strengths based perspective. Candace believes that everyone has an innate ability to move past life’s issues. Together she and you will work on strategies that will allow you to address the root causes of your difficulties and build meaningful social connections. Using an eclectic approach through psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, attachment, mindfulness and other evidence-based approaches, together she and you will develop the strength in you to get back to a healthier mental focus. She looks forward to the opportunity to work with you.

Wanda D. Turner

Therapist

MSHA, MSW, LSW

Specialize: Trauma, Anxiety and Depression

Wanda is an independent mental health counselor who believes everyone deserves a space where they feel truly heard and supported. Her passion is helping people navigate life’s ups and downs with compassion, curiosity, and practical tools for healing and growth.

Over the years, she has worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationship challenges, as well as those simply seeking greater self-awareness and personal development. Every story is unique, and she takes time to get to know each person, tailoring sessions to fit their needs, goals, and pace.

In addition to seeing individual clients, she collaborates with healthcare organizations to make quality mental health care more accessible. Whether in a one-on-one session or through a larger program, her focus is always on creating a safe, welcoming space where people can explore what’s going on beneath the surface and build skills that last well beyond therapy.

Her style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. She meets clients where they are and walks alongside them as they navigate change, discover strengths, and move toward the life they want.
